Asset Lifecycle

To record individual lifecycle states in the application, an asset can be in the following states:

  • Concept
  • In operation
  • Out of operation
  • Archived

Concept

A state that allows you to record an asset that does not have all mandatory attributes filled in. For assets in the Concept state, no maintenance plan is created. When importing assets from an Excel spreadsheet, if not all mandatory attributes are imported from the spreadsheet, the imported asset is created in the Concept state.

An asset in the Concept state can be moved to the In operation state with the Put into operation button, to the Out of operation state with the Take out of operation button, or to the Archived state with the Archive button.

In operation

For an asset to be in the In operation state, it must have all mandatory attributes recorded:

  • Asset type
  • Asset type options
  • Date put into operation
  • Mandatory extension attributes.

If an asset is in the In operation state, the application predicts planned maintenance inspections for it based on applicable regulations.

An asset in the In operation state can be moved to the Out of operation state with the Take out of operation button, or to the Archived state with the Archive button.

Out of operation

An asset in the In operation state can be moved to the Out of operation state at any time. If an asset is in the Out of operation state, no maintenance inspections are predicted for it.

An asset can be moved back to the In operation state at any time with the Put into operation button, or to the Archived state with the Archive button.

Archived

If an asset is removed from operation (sale, relocation, disposal), you can move it to the Archived state. The asset is then moved from the Facilities to the archive. No maintenance inspections are predicted for archived assets.

An asset can be moved back to the In operation state at any time with the Put into operation button, or to the Out of operation state with the Take out of operation button.
