How do I assign a QR code to an object?

You can assign QR codes to an asset, asset group, or portal work request in several ways:

• via the camera
• via a reserved QR code

This makes it easy to pair the desired object with a QR code whose scan immediately shows detailed information in the mobile app.

Assigning via global search/camera

In the OLIFY mobile app, select the QR code icon in global search and scan the QR code label.

Choose which object you want to assign the QR code to (asset/asset group).

Fill in the form and save.

Assigning via a reserved QR code

In Settings / Facilities / QR codes, on the "Unassigned" tab, copy the "Reserved code".

In Facilities / Assets, in the edit dialog for a new asset, paste the copied reserved asset code into the "Code" field and click "New". The system automatically assigns the corresponding reserved QR code to the new asset.

For an asset group or portal work request, paste the copied unassigned QR code into the "QR code" field in the object's edit dialog.
